\\WHY DO BALLOONS TAKE OFF AT SUNRISE AND SUNSET?

Hot air balloons typically don't fly during the day, especially in the summer, because of thermals and unstable air.
Thermals, which are columns of rising warm air caused by the sun heating the ground, make it difficult for pilots to control the balloon's altitude and direction. Additionally, the air becomes more turbulent and winds are less predictable during the day

\\NIGHT GLOW

The night-glow will be returning again this year on Saturday 17th August at 9pm.

Please note that the night-glow is subject to weather conditions and updates will be provided in the park and on social media through the day. and will last approximately 30 minutes.

\\DOGS

Dogs are allowed to the attend this event, however they must be on a lead at all times. Please be mindful of dog when balloon activity is present as they can be startled by the burners. There will also be taps in the park to keep your four legged friends hydrated.
